Dr. Marisol Vega

Principal

Dr. Vega is the principal of Ozark Middle School. She began as a science teacher, helped design the Harbor Seminar advisory program, and now spends her mornings greeting students at the lakeside entrance. She believes middle school should be a place to try hard things and be known by name.

Mr. Theo Ellison

Assistant Principal

Mr. Ellison is the assistant principal. He keeps the seven-period day running, mentors the Student Council, and is known in this story for learning every sixth grader's name by October. He coaches the intramural pickleball ladder for fun.

Ms. Priya Raman

School Counselor

Ms. Raman is a school counselor who helps students set goals, navigate friendships, and find their footing. She helped build the peer welcome team and the quiet room, and she co-teaches lessons in Harbor Seminar about kindness and resilience.

Mr. Desmond Locke

Librarian

Mr. Locke is the librarian who curates the Harbor Commons collection, runs book celebrations, and helps students research their capstones. He is happiest matching a reluctant reader to exactly the right story.

Ms. Harper Quinn

English Language Arts Teacher

Ms. Quinn is a ELA teacher who runs her classroom as a writers' workshop. She sponsors the Creative Writing Circle and believes every student has a story worth revising into something they're proud of.

Mr. Idris Calloway

Mathematics Teacher

Mr. Calloway is a mathematics teacher who builds lessons around real-feeling problems and student reasoning. He coaches Math League and likes to say that a wrong answer is just the start of a good conversation.

Dr. Nadia Forrest

Science Teacher

Dr. Forrest is a science teacher who takes learning outdoors to the science courtyard and the cove. She founded the Lake Ecology Club and helps sixth graders publish their Cove Systems field guides.

Arts Teacher

Ms. Marsh is a arts teacher who runs the visual-arts studio and the Art Collective. She curates the spring showcase in the Harbor Commons and believes making things together is how a community gets to know itself.
