The Harbor Commons Library

A warm, light-filled commons at the heart of the campus — a place to read, research, and gather.

The Harbor Commons is more than a room of books. Tall windows look toward the wooded hills, reading nooks invite quiet afternoons, and collaborative tables fill with project teams. The librarian, Mr. Desmond Locke, curates a collection that tries to put exactly the right story into every reader's hands.

What the library offers

  • A broad collection of stories, nonfiction, and graphic novels.
  • Research help for projects like the Cove Systems Field Guide and the Harbor Capstone.
  • Quiet reading nooks and collaborative project tables.
  • Home base for the Morning News Studio and Creative Writing Circle.
  • Seasonal book celebrations open to the whole community.

A culture of reading

Across the year, the library hosts author-style talks, book swaps, and reading challenges designed to help every student find a book worth staying up late for.
