Signature project: Cove Systems Field Guide

Students create a illustrated field guide that connects geography, ecosystems, writing, and data from the Harbor cove.

Support & extension

Harbor Seminar 6 anchors each student in a small advisory, and reading and math workshops offer extra practice when it helps.

Do sixth graders change classes?

Yes. In this model, sixth graders follow a seven-period day with a Harbor Seminar advisory, moving between subject classrooms.

Can a sixth grader take a yearlong music class?

A student may replace the Exploration Wheel with Beginning Band, Choir 6, or Beginning Strings.
