Naomi F.
Grade 8
“Plant something now and someone gets shade later.”
Naomi has a gardener's patience and a leader's eye for what a community needs next. On the student council she turns hallway complaints into doable projects, then keeps a tidy list so nothing slips through the cracks. Naomi started a small courtyard garden that now supplies herbs for the cooking classes, and she taught a rotating crew how to tend it. With the service crew she organizes cleanup days that somehow feel like parties. Warm and organized, Naomi remembers birthdays and follow-through in equal measure. She believes leadership is mostly listening, then doing the unglamorous work without being asked. Classmates say she makes big tasks feel manageable, breaking them into friendly steps and celebrating each one, so that joining a project with Naomi always feels less like a chore and more like belonging.
