“Give me a blank wall and I will give you a whole world.”

Sloane dreams in big, bright shapes and loves a project large enough to need a ladder. In the art collective she sketches mural ideas on butcher paper, then rallies classmates to fill in the colors panel by panel. Sloane also throws lopsided, cheerful bowls in ceramics, embracing the wobbles as proof a human made them. She believes art should invite people in, so she leaves room in every plan for a friend to add an idea. Energetic and welcoming, Sloane keeps the studio music going and the encouragement flowing. In the creative writing circle she pairs short poems with her paintings. Classmates say she turns a plain hallway into a celebration and never lets a beginner feel out of place, because to Sloane every messy first try is already worth framing.
