Description

English Language Arts 8 prepares students for high school reading and writing through close study of complex fiction, nonfiction, and informational texts. Students evaluate an author's argument, weigh evidence, and write well-structured essays that defend their own position. Class discussions, research mini-projects, and frequent revision build the confidence and skills students carry into ninth grade.
