Description

Life Skills and Food Foundations introduces students to kitchen safety, basic cooking techniques, and the fundamentals of good nutrition. Students also practice everyday skills such as planning, budgeting, and working as a team. Through guided projects, they gain confidence preparing simple, healthy snacks and meals.

  • Prepare a balanced snack using basic techniques
  • Plan a simple meal within a sample budget

Signature project

Teams plan, prepare, and present a healthy snack, then reflect on cost, nutrition, and teamwork.
