Intermediate Band

Description

Intermediate Band continues the musical growth of students who have completed a first year on their instrument. Players expand their range and key signatures, sharpen their rhythm reading, and tackle more challenging full-band repertoire. Rehearsals emphasize listening across sections so the band sounds balanced and together. Students perform at multiple concerts and prepare a piece for a school showcase.

• Read and perform more complex rhythms and time signatures
• Balance and blend within and across instrument sections
• Apply expressive dynamics and articulation in ensemble playing
• Prepare and perform intermediate repertoire at school concerts

Signature project
