Description

Choir 7 helps singers develop greater control, range, and confidence as their voices mature. Students sing in two and three parts, refine their blend, and learn music from a range of styles and time periods. Rehearsals build sight-singing skills and the teamwork it takes to hold a part. The choir performs a varied program at concerts throughout the year.

What students learn

  • Sing accurately in two- and three-part harmony
  • Improve sight-singing of melodies using solfege or note names
  • Use healthy vocal technique across an expanding range
  • Blend and balance with other voice parts
  • Perform a varied choral program at school concerts

Signature project

The choir prepares a multi-part feature piece for the spring concert.
