Description

Environmental Field Studies is a semester elective that takes science outdoors in a lakeside setting. By collecting and analyzing their own data, students practice thinking like environmental scientists.

What students learn

  • Use field methods to observe and record environmental data
  • Identify common plants, animals, and habitats in a region
  • Explain how natural cycles connect air, water, soil, and life
  • Analyze how human choices affect local environments
  • Propose evidence-based ways to care for natural resources

Signature project
